Registration is now open for our national 6 week healthy challenge. This is a HEALTH challenge for those who would just like to have some fun team support getting back on track to their healthy journey and commit to either….

Maintaining your weight to no more than 1% of where you were when you started or losing up to 5.9%.

Or we have the second category for those who would like to lose at least 6% over the 6 week time period using ANY HEALTH PROGRAM you like. It’s fun and great to have support.

Of course if you would like to do our Take Shape program for your weight loss I would suggest you get with me and order your food by January 5th.

Ben, just spent a few days in Mexico fishing, successfully! The picture on the left is Ben just over 3 years ago,the picture on the right is Ben in Mexico a couple weeks ago doing what is his passion!! Ben’s story is not unique, he made a decision to change his Health. BenBen started his journey at 370 lbs and lost 175 lbs and has kept it off for over two years. I could go on writing about all the benefits that creating health in his life has brought Ben, but it’s too much to list here. 8 Days till a New Year and a New You

Kaye’s Precious Present: In March of 2014, Kaye, age 65, began to rewrite her life-story and is now experiencing the gift of health this Christmas season. Kaye began her journey by joining the Athletic Club and enrolling in our Healthy Weight Loss Program offered at the Club.

Kaye is now a regular exerciser and as-of December 18, 2014 has not only tossed aside her cane but also lost 123 lbs! This journey has taken her from 292.4 lbs to 169.3 lbs, while dropping an accumulative of 70.5 inches in her measurements. Kaye’s thigh is now within ½ inch of the starting measurement of her calf and she has lost over 17” in her waist! Very soon Kye will reach her goal weight, begin transition and then move to the maintenance stage. It is then she plans to realize her next goal by acquiring a new pony and begin horseback riding once again.

11 Days till a New Year New You

I know that most everyone looks at January 1st as the day to start many new things including losing weight and getting healthy so my hope is that these 12 days before the new years these will help motivate and get you excited about the changes you want to make.11

I never had a weight issue, in fact I was just 102 pounds in 2005 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was while I was surviving breast cancer that I gained a whopping 65 pounds PLUS type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, acid reflux and triglycerides, almost 1000. After treatment of chemo, radiation and medication, I attempted to lose the weight I gained by trying many of the weight loss programs which fell short. I was discouraged, depressed and didn’t leave the house but for work. So I decided to not eat, but once a day to lose weight…I lost 30 pounds, ran 5 miles, until I started to gain weight again.
I found this program 1 year later as an answer to my prayers…it was then with the help of my health coach that I successfully lost 25 pounds and 5 pounds in maintenance. I started my journey unhealthy, a tight size 12 and learned the habits of health and 3 years later am maintaining a size 6, full of energy and helping others feels as I do. Blessed beyond blessed that Dr. A followed his passion. This program changed my life and the lives of my family and friends…Healthy REALLY Does change EVERYTHING!

Take Shape Tuesday Congratulations to Amy

In Amy’s own words….

I lost 119.5 pounds and have maintained that loss. My original goal was to lose 100 pounds which I did in a year. Then, after maintaining that loss, I decided to go for an even healthier weight for my body.health

I am a 38 (39 in January!!! Eek!!) year-old mom, I found this plan so easy to work into my life and experienced results that were beyond anything I could have imagined.

When my twin girls were three, I read an article that said that the number one factor in a child’s health and weight both during childhood and adulthood was the health and weight of the mother, I FINALLY decided that I had to try this program. I had very little hope of it working because nothing else I had tried from extreme diets to constant workouts had budged the scale more than 20 pounds. I was absolutely shocked at how easily and quickly I lost weight while eating food I enjoyed 6 times a day. Right about when I would begin to feel hungry, it was time to eat again! The thing that attracted me to this program is that it just made sense. I feel like it is kind to my body instead of trying to punish it into submission. I have loved having the support of my own health coach. I have found it very easy to maintain. I, honestly, never thought it was possible to, at almost 40 I weighed the same as I did in high school while feeling better than I did at 25!!

With hereditary high cholesterol and high blood pressure in his family Gary thought maybe with his weight lossgary
and working on improving his health it would might improve these two areas of his health also,
though not overly confident due to it being hereditary.
Today no high BP or Cholesterol, no medications and Gary is Thriving Daily with amazing Health.
