loving life with Travel, Tennis and learning the Habits of Health

Do you take it personally?

I so want to be free from taking things personally. I am not sure yet why I do it, but I find that it is a big trigger for me and over eating. When I take things personally that are most likely never meant as personal I only sabotage my self.

If you do the same thing you might check out the book The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. I think I will pick it up and start reading it again.July 15

  1. This is something I do ALL the time. I try with all my might not to, it just happens, however, I am working on this constant battle with myself and I appreciate you mentioning this book. I will read it!!
You know, the funny (or not so funny) thing is, is that I tell others, all the time, not to take things so personal! Thanks Sue 🙂

  2. I do indeed. I always thought I was an emotional eater, but I’ve come to realize I’m a “comfort” eater. I eat or am drawn to food when I need comfort. I’ve been working on going to the God of all Comfort for those moments and not sabotaging my progress. He has faithfully met me at each moment.
